I. Alimentavie Weekly Group Meetings

If you work well in a group environment, like to exchange with others and like the additional support others can offer you, especially those whom like you have decided to adopt a healthier lifestyle, the group meetings will feed your needs!  

Location : IGA Extra, 7150 Langelier blvd. in Montreal ; to find out if there is a session of Alimentavie group meetings open in your city or surroundings, or when the next session will begin, fill-up and submit the form in the Subscriptions & Purchases section.

Group : minimum 10 people 

Weekly menu : You will be weighed or your measurements taken, sample a new healthy recipe, assist an interactive conference (30 to 45 minutes) on a specific nutrition or weight-loss topic, exchange your comments and questions with your dietitian-nutritionist and group, and will discover new tricks to help you modify your eating habits in order to adopt a healthier and well-balanced eating plan, all of which will help you attain a healthy body and weight. 

Option 1 - When you enroll in a 12 week session as of the first meeting, you will receive all the tools, educational documents and notes free of charge.

Option 2 - Pay as you go! 
The cost for the first meeting includes a supplementary cost for the Alimentavie book of 33 pages, the food guide, the first week’s food journal, a copy of the conference notes and the healthy recipe of the week.  The cost for the next meetings will include an additional fee for the documents, educational tools and conference notes.

Option 3 - Bring a friend who will also enroll in a 12 week session and receive a 10% discount.

II. Alimentavie Parties

Do you have a busy schedule?  Perhaps you prefer a more intimate and relaxed surrounding, like the comfort of your own home?  If so, the Alimentavie parties are just for you! 

Location : all 12 meetings will be held in your own home!  

Group : including you, minimum 4 people (friends, colleagues, family members, etc.) 

Weekly menu : In the intimacy and comfort of your home, you and your guests will be weighed and/or your measurements taken, sample a new healthy recipe, assist an interactive conference (30 to 45 minutes) on a specific nutrition or weight-loss topic, exchange your comments and questions with your dietitian-nutritionist and group, and will discover new tricks to help you modify your eating habits in order to adopt a healthier and well-balanced eating plan, all of which will help you attain a healthy body and weight. All the presentations include the tools, educational documents and conference notes free of charge.

The host will receive a 25 % discount on the total cost of the 12 week session.    

III. Alimentavie Program Coupled with Phone Follow-Ups 

For those who have a busier schedule, prefer a more personalized program and wish to follow the program on their own, at their own pace and in the comfort of their home, rather than in group, this is the ideal option!  

Location : by telephone and email

Group : YOU and your dietitian-nutritionist!

Weekly menu : Depending on your availabilities, you will receive 12 nutrition consulting sessions of  30, 45 or 60 minutes by telephone with your dietitian-nutritionist.  During the phone follow-up we will talk about the content of the conference notes, the weekly recipe, the analysis of your food journal, as well as the recommendations and tips that were sent to you by email, one to two days prior to the scheduled follow-up.   Exchanges by email, up to a maximum of one exchange per week (concerning a particular topic) are included in this package.  All the tools, educational documents and conference notes are offered to you free of charge and will be sent to you by mail and/or email.

IV. Alimentavie Program without Follow-Ups

For those who prefer to follow the Alimentavie Program by themselves, without phone follow-ups, nor group meetings, you have the possibility of buying all the Alimentavie tools, including the conference notes of the first Alimentavie class and a copy of the Alimentavie healthy recipe from that first class (cf. Alimentavie Documents Section for a description of all the tools; Conference Notes for other class are available at an extra cost).

V. Alimentavie Documents 

a. Alimentavie Food Guide 

The Alimentavie Food Guide is the ultimate eating plan for ensuring and maintaining optimum health.  It is based on the Canadian Food Guide, the Diabetes Food Guide and the results of various scientific studies related to nutrition and health.  It respects the Canadian Healthy Eating Guidelines and highlights the importance of incorporating foods known for their benefits on overall health, vitality and in the prevention of various diseases.  This tool was designed to help guide you in your daily food choices once you have reached and maintained your ideal weight.

 

b. Alimentavie Meal Plans

The Alimentavie Meal Plans were developed to simplify your life during your weight loss and to ensure that you meet your daily requirements.   They were conceived to avoid you having to count calories and determine on your own how many portions of each food group you need daily to meet your needs and eat healthy.

 

c. Alimentavie Program

The Alimentavie Program has been conceived in order to help you make better use of the Alimentavie Food Guide and your Alimentavie Meal Plan.  In this 33 page booklet, you will find each food group explained in detail, suggestions for making healthier food choices and a list of foods with their respective serving size.  Furthermore, you also have blank pages added at the end of the book for your personal notes.


d. Alimentavie Food Journal

The Food Journal is the key to weight loss success.  Studies have shown that people who keep a food journal have more success at losing weight.  Tracking the food and drinks that we consume daily helps us determine our eating patterns and behaviors enabling us to make the necessary adjustments.  Furthermore, it forces us to take responsibility for our food choices and gives us insight into when and why we eat.

e. Alimentavie Conference Notes

We will discuss a new topic on nutrition, health or weight loss during each Alimentavie meeting (class).  In order for you to take full advantage of these conferences, notes will be distributed at the beginning of every meeting.  For those of you who have opted for the phone follow-ups, the notes will be sent to you by email 1 or 2 days before your scheduled follow-up.

f. Alimentavie Healthy Recipes

At every Alimentavie meeting (class) your dietitian-nutritionist will have prepared a new, healthy recipe for you to sample and will give you a printed copy of the recipe.  The purpose of this is to introduce you to new flavors, less commonly known and used foods, new culinary techniques and tips, help you vary your menus and lighten up or increase the nutritional value of more traditional recipes.  For those of you who have opted for the phone follow-ups, the recipe will be sent to you by email 1 or 2 days before your scheduled follow-up.  The sampled recipe will also be posted on the Alimentavie web site each week and accessible to all, free of charge.
